Production & Quality
We have a strong commitment to maintaining a very high standard and winning the recommendation of the medical profession.
Biofoodnutrition provides an excellent range of branded baby milk powders and nutrition products with a presence in international markets, and has a particular interest in research and development. The company has firmly established a range of products under the internationally registered trademarks of Fabimilk™, Allevia™, OptiMum™ and other brands in both mature and emerging markets.
Manufacturing is based in Europe and carried out by dedicated teams of highly skilled personnel using the latest technologies. Production takes place under strict microbiological controls with the infant formulas constantly improved according to the latest research findings in order to provide the best possible alternative to mother’s milk. All products are subject to rigorous quality controls during production, packaging and prior to shipment. Biofoodnutrition maintains accurate records for traceability – right down to the individual tin. Strict control procedures and high standards in manufacturing practice ensure that our formulas contain all the requisite nutrients throughout the expected shelf life of the product. Fabimilk, Fabicereals, Fabiwater and OptiMum are scientifically advanced nutritional products and conform to EU regulations.
Biofoodnutrition is proud to be an ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO22000 registered firm with quality management systems that cover all its milk-based formulas including dietary and clinical products for infants and children and products for pregnant and lactating mothers. ISO9001 is an internationally recognised quality management system, which provides the company with a framework to continually improve the quality of its service to customers. The requirements of ISO14001 are an integral part of the European Union‘s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme. Implementation of the ISO14001 quality management system at Biofoodnutrition ensures we continually improve the environmental management of all our operations and comply with applicable environmental laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements. ISO22000 integrates the principles of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system and application steps developed by the Codex Alimentarius Commission. By means of auditable requirements, it combines the HACCP plan with prerequisite programmes. Hazard analysis is the key to an effective food safety management system, since conducting a hazard analysis assists in organising the knowledge required to establish an effective combination of control measures.
