OptiMum™ is a balanced milk based drink specially formulated for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. During these particular periods, the woman’s nutritional needs are greater. A correct and adapted diet is essential for the health of the mother and her baby. OptiMum provides a rich source of protein content and is enriched in calcium. Proteins are necessary for the growth, maintenance and repair of our body. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the protein needs are increased. Milk and whey in OptiMum contain amino-acids essential for fetus and infant’s growth. Calcium, a mineral that goes into bone composition, is essential for the formation of the skeleton of the fetus and the baby. Calcium is useful for the mother, in order to maintain a healthy and strong skeletal structure.

OptiMum is enriched in 26 essential minerals and vitamins and is a rich source of iron and vitamin B12, which helps prevent risk of anemia for the mother and the baby. Folic acid (vitamin B9) plays a key role in fetus growth from the very start of the pregnancy.Indeed folic acid is essential for the good development of nerve tissue of the embryo.

OptiMum also contains GOS (galacto-oligosaccharides), a soluble fibre, which stimulates development of intestinal flora and thus helps improve the intestinal transit.
